 - Personal information, provided through voluntary registration as an Trades Mate User or Trades Mate Member or use of the Website (such as but not limited to your first and last names and email address);

 - Information collected by us through click -tracking in relation to your use of the Website, including the content you upload and the content you access; and aggregated data, which tracks traffic to the Website; and cookies, which are pieces of information transferred to your computer hard drive for record keeping (such as your preferences on our Website).

We will only collect personal information which is necessary for our business functions and activities to help us provide, and improve our service to you, to verify your identity, to enforce or apply our terms and conditions, to send you correspondence to your nominated email address, to obtain your feedback about our service, to protect  the rights, property, or safety of our business, or Trades Mate users, or Trades Mate members, or others, for internal research purposes, for promoting and marketing other products and services to you, to any other use that you authorise or to comply with legal or regulatory obligations

Failure to provide necessary personal information when requested may result in certain functions of the Website not being available to you.

We will generally collect and use non-personal information to provide our advertisers with marketing or promotional materials regarding our products and services; and/or to assist our staff in providing customised sales offers to our advertisers.

(a) to provide Trades Mate Members (the service supplier of the asked job) with your contact details supplied when the “Place a Job” form was completed for the purpose of passing them to the Trades Mate Member to attend/quote/do the job asked;
(b) To third parties for use to provide you with services related to your use of the Website, if it is required to fulfil those services;
(c) to Merchants and/or third parties where we have your consent, such as by opting-in to receive communications from Merchants and/or other third parties;
(d) to enforce or apply the Terms of the Website;
(e) to the relevant authorities, any internet search provider that you use to access the Website, and/or the applicable intellectual property rights holders (or their representatives) if we consider you are infringing the intellectual property rights of any person; and
(f) where we consider in our absolute discretion we are required to disclose your personal information in accordance with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or Government request.


Our site's registration process requires Trades Mate users to provide us with their name and contact information and may also require demographic information. For Trades Mate members the registration process also requires information about the business.

 We may use your contact information to contact you when necessary, send you information about our Service, our company and promotional material from some of our affiliated partners.

You warranty that you have provided complete, accurate and current information when registering.


Your personal information that we hold is accessible by and you with your own password can make changes to your personal information, if you wish, at any time.

Trades Mate will retain your information in order to allow you to place future jobs from the Website, until you request that we delete it from our database. You can terminate your account as a Trades Mate User or Trades Mate Member by emailing us to do so at

Your credit card details do not get processed or transmitted through or via Trades Mate website; all transactions are processed through a secure payment service provider.

Trades Mate uses PayPal to provide this service meaning that your credit card details are not held by Trades Mate and cannot be accessed by Trades Mate staff. However they may be held by PayPal (review their Privacy Policy).


Our website is a publishing medium in that anyone may register and then publish information about their company. We do not moderate or control what is posted. If you complain about any of the content on our website, we shall investigate your complaint. If we feel, it may be justified, we shall remove it while we investigate. Free speech is a fundamental right, so we have to make a judgement as to whose right will be obstructed: yours, or that of the person who posted the content which offends you. If we think, your complaint is vexatious or without any basis, we shall not correspond with you about it.
